Everything started with that one mail. 

I thought it was Anne's functioning again. For some reason, whenever something happens to me, I still think that woman back there in Germany is somehow responsible for it, watching over me like a mother hen watches over her chicks. No doubt: She's brought me where I am, has made all these wonderful things possible for me that I could become what I've always wanted to be. 

Yet, this time, she knows of nothing. This achievement, this opportunity is to be credited to me, and to me alone, she says. 

Well, long story short: I've been offered to join a team. 
I won't go into detail. They're Cali based, but yes, I will be staying at AVRRA - and of course I'll continue my work here like usual. But I'll be training with them once or twice a week, and I get to show some of their saleshorses. Sounds good? Damn right it does. I've always wished for a sponsor, but this is way better. This is not just getting my foot in the door, this is somebody holding the door wide open so I can walk in comfortably. Man, this might be my way into the big league. 

I'll soon meet the first horse I'll be riding. Of course he won't be my own - he'll probably be sold by the end of the season anyway, but I'll get to show him for a year. He's said to be a little weird - not a problem horse per se, but they say he's always struggled to perform, and they trust me to fix that. (Turns out I have a reputation for having a way with sensitive and out-of-the-common horses? Thanks, Blue.) 
Anyway, here's the bomb. The gelding I'm gonna ride is a Cornet Obolensky son. He's yet to win his first Grand Prix, but... you get where I'm going with this.
He jumps higher than Blue's ever jumped. 

Turns out, they've just purchased the guy somewhat cheap (what does that even mean in these circles??) at the East Coast --- and now my first mission is to go there, try him out, participate in a show jumping clinic while I'm there, and bring him back if he's of any use. 

Blue can do fine without me for a while. She's still on stall rest anyway. I think I'm going to start walking her around once I'm back.
Ryan let me go with a stern glance and a flattering "Don't you get any ideas and desert us", Celeste, if anything, is just really excited that she gets to care for Pippin for two weeks (well, no, of course not alone), and Kent - well, I dunno. I haven't spoken to him properly since Christmas anyway - maybe he's forgotten about... it. 

But yeah! I'm really looking forward to this - this is exactly the kind of adventure I've been waiting for!
Bring it on, I'm ready!

mmm due to very little time for harpg, I had to merge several story parts in one short one, but that's okay. I guess I'll just finish the Clinic story when I'm back in March to get ready for the HCL. 
I added Jimjam cuz he still needs to qualify XD
