The Sunday Mornings' Baguette Courier

Finally! It is finished. 8D
I started this about two, three weeks ago, when I was still in France. Hence the theme. I was so inspired by everything I saw!
I already did an Italy-inspired picture two years ago... and comparing those two kinda satisfies me xD

But anyway, Summer was the perfect object for that! xD I love her bubbly-ness. She doesn't only speak English and German, but also enough French to communicate (she's talented with languages, what helped her to adapt to Germany when she moved there with 10 (was it 10?). And if there was the opportunity for a student exchange, to actually visit those other countries, she'd most gladly want to participate. I imagine this was a trip to a small town in southern France she attended - and here she's being the early bird she is, going to fetch the baguettes for breakfast by bike before everyone else of her schoolmates is up.

I used some sketches I did in a small town as reference for this. Lots of things in this are actually inspired by real things I saw.

...hmm... The more I work with my scanner, the more it feels like the colours get worse. xD I'll just try to scan it again, to keep it pure and nice (I edited this quite a lot, but the more I change the worse it gets. I've noticed this already, the greens often tend to be a bit too bright, and the light yellow is... neon. Maybe it's time to invest in some new equipment? :'D)
