She loves it fast

"It didn't take me much time to find out what she really loves.

It was still early in the morning. It had become some kind of habit, to get up early and on horseback, because preparations for the Olympics were in full swing, and I didn't want to get in the way. Mostly I was alone, that was the consequence - but I loved the clean morning air and the sun's first light; it promised so much for the dawning day.
But today, the sky was burning red. I remembered an old country lore when I watched the clouds drifting by. Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning - maybe it would storm or thunder today... I put the thought away.
Anxiously, I climbed into the grey's saddle. Oddy, already noticing a rider's weight on her back, stepped aside and lifted her head; just as she wanted to show everyone what sort of horse she was. Immediately, I grabbed into her mane and corrected my position, because I didn't want to fall... again.
Yes, that had happened.
When I rode her for the second time, she threw me down to get rid of me, and when we started to jump higher obstacles too, she found it funny to refuse out of a full gallop - just to see me fly. I still hadn't really found out how to aquaint me with her, and I just hoped that, should it happen after all, it would happen as quickly as possible.
The mare seemed more excited than usual when she saw me carrying the obstacles into the square. I guessed, no, I was quite sure that she loved jumping - why didn't she do me the favour of living her love out when I was sitting on her?
I decided it now. Trotting on a big circle with wide steps, I decided that, no matter what, I would find out how to get her full attention. Today.

A few obstacles were put up in a relatively small space. I expected Oddy to be a very agile and fast horse, and with this exercise I wanted to know if this could help to avoid long detours and time faults. Long story short - I wanted speed. What I didn't know was; she wanted it, too.

After we passed the first obstacle with more or less elegance, I led her to the next one - and because I wanted speed, I gave her the reins and let her go. And the dirt flew - it was amazing! She immediately put on speed, jumped the next hurdle with incredible eagerness and excitedly dashed on after it.
For the first time, we were in complete agreement."

This picture was born out of a small boost of inspiration - I had a boring idea, but it didn't work, so I drew something offbeat again... <.<
the failed perspective makes Oddy look fat, though. I like it anyway C:
I hope you like it!
(And I hope that I didn't do something wrong with her character - for me, she seemed like a headstrong mare, and she'd surely love to get on Summer's nerves )
