Just a little time, I thought. Nobody will search for us because of a few minutes.
I need to breathe.
"Oh, refreshing wind! - oh clean air!"

"There I was standing. With my faithful mare, my noble steed for a month.
I got used to her, her eagerness, her temperament, but also her sporadic stubbornness. There, she was like me.
And now we were standing on this little hill, watching the landscape, the forest, faraway mountains, almost forgetting this obstacle standing in front of us.
Thirteen obstacles, to be exact.
I was excited, yes, and I was eager. Not as much as my horse, but it was like a fire under my fingernails - now that I'd relaxed a little bit, I couldn't wait. The parcours was waiting for me, and I was waiting for it. A placement wasn't my principal aim. I had achieved much, and if Anne had wanted me to witness an adventure - well, she got what she wanted. I loved adventures, and this was one of the biggest ones of my life.
The wind was blowing steadily, ruffling our hair, rushing in our ears. Little waves appeared on the sparkling water surface below us. It was just peaceful.

I had forgotten the time.
How many minutes had passed? Two? Ten? Too many?
"Oh girl", said I. "we better head back or we'll be late for our round."

I couldn't see Jill in the warming-up arena anymore, when we came back. - And I scolded myself for being too late to wish her luck...
There weren't many horses and riders left in the square, most of the entrants were surely glad to see the back of the competition. But it didn't look like I was too late or something...
"Number 28, Number 28!" A voice sonded from a loudspeaker at the end of the square.
"Summer Grace Sutherland with RPS Seaborn Odyssey, starting for Germany! Number 28!"
"Well, girl, there it comes", said I. "Let's go!" Oddy bobbed her head up and down and started to trot - I almost couldn't hold her back.
I harked into my inside... but surprisingly, I didn't feel anything special. I didn't feel anything at all.
I urged Oddy into a rising trot and guided her into the tunnel which led to the Sunken Arena. Darkness was devouring us.
Then - sudden lights. Blue. White.
Waves.
The cheering of an audience. The obstacles in front of us.
And my inside was completely numb.

I wanted to keep a certain alertness, needed to be as awake as never before. I needed to calculate the distances between the jumps as exactly as possible...
But in the end...? This was passion!
"Onwards, my faithful steed! To new adventures!"
And I laughed."

Theeeere it is one full week of work, when I was at my grandma's house. xD and it's DIN A3!
I hope you like it!
It's more crafted than actually drawn - because I wanted to combine both watercolour and coloured pencils in one picture, and it wouldn't have worked if I'd done it all on one sheet pf paper. xD
Used 7 sheets of paper - it has got 16 "layers", and in the end, I glued it all together.
Please notice that it's not edited with Photoshop or something - well, I edited contrast and everything when I scanned it - but I didn't draw something additional in it.
I know, It maybe would've looked better when I had, but SH THIS IS TRADITIONAL all through >D
